Pre-College Training

Rather than worrying about where they will go to college or how they’ll pay for it, Act Six scholars spend the seven months before college preparing to succeed and lead.

Starting in January, each cadre meets together weekly to:

  • establish supportive friendships and grow as a team
  • hone study and time-management strategies
  • build intercultural leadership skills
  • wrestle with important and challenging issues

In addition to the weekly meetings, the program includes:

  • weekend retreats and conferences
  • family workshops and fun social events
  • additional visits to the George Fox and Warner Pacific campuses
  • a week-long summer expedition

After seven months of training with their cadre, Act Six scholars come to their respective colleges ready to engage the campus with a built-in support system and a sense of purpose as service-minded leaders and agents of transformation.
